6. Permissions Used
Pline’s Chrome extension only requests the permissions necessary to deliver its core functionality. Here's a breakdown of the permissions used and why:
activeTab – Allows the extension to access the currently active tab, enabling contextual workflows.
scripting – We use scripting permission across all domains strictly for user-initiated workflows. We do not run any background scripts or automate actions without explicit user input or configuration.
storage – Used to store user-created workflows, preferences, and local settings.
tabs – Maintains the tab’s state after navigation or refresh, and supports the session-sharing feature in Browse & Capture.
alarms – Implements a heartbeat mechanism for background tasks.
cookies – Accesses cookies from our own domain to keep the extension synced with the platform.
7. Local Data Storage
Users can clear local storage at any time via their browser settings. Additionally, workflows and session information maybe stored locally.
